How the iron clinic works

Book
Book online and tell us about any recent blood results.

Blood test and assessment
Treatment is planned from your iron studies, ferritin and full blood count. If you have no recent results, we can arrange them at the clinic.

Your treatment
Iron infusions are given in the clinic with monitoring throughout and a short observation period afterwards.
- 04
Follow-up
Your levels are re-checked with a blood test, usually after 4–8 weeks, to guide the next step.
Iron clinic appointments are available Monday to Friday, 10:30 am to 4 pm. Our care works alongside your GP and hospital care, never instead of it.
